My 4 Favourite Podcasts

My 4 Favourite Podcasts

Podcasts have literally changed my life. I listen to a minimum of 1, sometimes 2 a day. I have heard the most incredible truths, inspirational stories, and deepest wisdom through these podcasts. I thought I would share with you four of my favourites.

1. Exploring the Prophetic with Shawn Bolz

One of my absolute favourite podcasts at the moment is ‘Exploring the Prophetic With Shawn Bolz.’ It is the best Christian Podcast I have listened to. Shawn explores the prophetic by interviewing some of his close friends and leaders from different industries across the globe. They share how God’s voice has impacted their lives and caused great change in their world. I love it because he interviews not only church leaders, but also politicians, entertainers, actors, musicians and everyday people like you and I, on how the prophetic is actually shaping their lives. I have been devouring this podcast as it is so relevant to me right now, as I have stepped out in faith to start pioneering my own business in obedience to what God has placed on my heart. Hearing about how others have done this and how God has followed through and shaped their business, lives, careers and worked miracles in and through them, has filled me with such faith and assurance. I highly recommend you listen. I devour each episode as they come out and wait in anticipation for the next one to be released.

2. Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast

I cannot recommend this enough. In fact I wish I had discovered it years ago. Craig is the senior pastor of Life Church and has an immense passion to see leaders thrive. He dedicates a huge portion of his life creating curriculum to give leaders everywhere, from CEOs to business owners, to pastors to political leaders, tools which can empower and better equip them to lead. He covers topics which are profoundly helpful which include how to create a healthy culture, how to give and receive criticism, how to lead through pain, how to grow a healthy organisation, how to invest your resources, how effective leaders handle criticism and so much more.

It is genuinely pure gold. What’s more, he provides notes on each podcast and discussion points that you can devour with your team. I recommend starting at the beginning and working your way through every podcast. He has reached a million downloads a month and once you start listening you will quickly find out why. Mark and I feel like he has impacted us more than we can express.

3. Building a Story Brand with Donald Miller.

Building a business this year with Mark, I found this to be the most helpful resource. If you have your own business, run a business, or if you are an entrepreneur, I think reading Donald Miller’s book and listening to his podcast is mandatory. Donald Miller brings practical advice about clarifying your message so customers will listen. Don and the Story Brand team are world leading experts in harnessing a 2000 year old proven, power of story formula to get people talking about your brand. He interviews the most fascinating and successful people and I devour every episode. I sometimes listen to them twice. Get into it.

4. For the Love Podcast with Jen Hatmaker

Jen Hatmaker is one of my favourite writers. She delivers this fun, candid and incredibly relatable podcast. She focuses on certain topics for weeks at a time, such as ‘for the love of books,’ ‘for the love of change,’ ‘for the love of laughter,’ for the love of writing,’ ‘for the love of food,’ and the list goes on and on.

She interviews celebrities and everyday people on a range of topics and it is always highly entertaining, deeply touching, relatable and practical. I always feel that each time I listen, I come away feeling understood. I think nearly every female would like her podcast and definitely every writer. Have a listen and see what you think. I love them.

That’s it for now. My favourite four! Have a listen and write in and let me know what you think! What podcasts do you listen to?

Until next time you are deeply loved and richly cherished.
