4 Fun Things From my Week – For your Weekend.

  • 1. Favourite Podcast.

The Art of Energy Management. Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast. ‘Doctor I am exhausted.” This is something I hear time and time again. We all feel like we have too much to do and too little time right? What if we were to take the focus off time, and instead focus on how to maximise our energy levels? For time is finite, we only have 24 hours in the day, but our energy is able to be maximised and renewed!

This is, without a doubt the best podcast I have listened to in a long time. If you are eager to increase your energy levels, become more effective in life, in your jobs, and have more energy, please listen to this podcast. Start your own energy audit. I am doing mine right now. I also summarised this podcast in an article this week: How to optimise your time and energy. (Click on the bold it will lead you to the article)

  • 2. Favourite Activity

Mark and I put on our winter parkers this Sunday morning, and did a big walk up a mountain. Without a doubt, it was the highlight of our day and our week. We framed up our week together, talked about some of our deadlines for the upcoming months, and the best case scenario outcome for all the projects and meetings we had going, and all the people in our lives who we loved. Gosh time with the ones you love, talking about everything that matters, away from phones, and distraction, is priceless.

  • 3. Favourite Food

One of our favourite dishes of the week was Chicken and Sweet Potato Stew. You can get the recipe in this article: Interesting Conversations and Chicken and Sweet Potato Stew. Seriously it is so easy and so delicious. Greenie wants to eat it every night.

Here are some other interesting recipes from around the web that I found (remember the bold has links attached if you click on them.) I love this recipe for Brussel Sprouts. Try nutritional yeast instead of parmesan if you want. I want to try this Grain free and nut free coconut bread. Looks amazing. And this low carb olive and garlic loaf. Also, have you guys tried jackfruit? It is so nutritious and delicious. If you’re looking for the occasional meat alternative. Try this recipe.

Scrunchies? Are Back! This is cute from witchery and would go with this kimono wrap. Loving this totally gorgeous Green outfit. According to Elle, Suits are massively in for 2019. Here is an affordable number from Zara. Love this effortlessly stylish one. Mustard Yellow suit anyone? Yes Please. Or Blazer with shorts? Finally who has a special occasion? I love this Zimmerman number. I think it would be timeless and classy. AND it is on sale!

There it is. My highlights from the week and some ideas for your weekend activities and shopping.

Don’t forget to do something simple for a stranger, friend or loved one this weekend. Buy a stranger a coffee, write a thank you note for a colleague, or make your neighbour a cake. And PLEASE share it with me on #cgthoughtfulthursday on either Instagram or Facebook.

Generosity is restorative, and connection is life giving. It is the best way to self care.

You are truly loved and richly cherished

Just had lunch at the local pub with clients enjoying the best ten dollar steak sandwich ever… 4 years ago I was too religious yo ever set foot in an evil pub..buy God rescued me from that mindset.. and now I am free to love and relax.. still dislike alcohol because to me it tastes awful and does so much damage in the community.. and leering male eyes and the pokies..
But we had a nice lunch and I nicely put up with the f word without shaming.. Will be praying for an opportunity to share the gospel.. the cat us out of the bag lol.. We are Christians.. and lol after a shared lunch hugs were now appropriate whether they buy from us or not!
That was Saturday..and now to clean my car, watch a hallmark movie on YouTube and think about maybe opening my computer for work lol..

Loved the Craig Groeschel Leadership podcast, was listening to it at silly O’clock in the morning as sleep patterns out of whack. 🤪.

This is really good for business owners too, along with others podcasts, thanks sooo much for sharing.

Looking forward to cooking the chicken and sweet potato stew.

My previous attempts at cooking chicken, ‘oh left over chicken, let’s be creative Colette’ hubby’s comments after eating my ‘creative’ dish……………… ‘please don’t cook that again’ it was said in love so I was not heart broken, it was pretty bad! LOL.

I’ve hopes to impress with this chicken dish.

Looking forward to many more post and books.

May blessing return to you 100 fold. 💥
