4 Things I Learned This Week.

  • 1. Podcast

The Power of Testimony: Bill Johnson Bethel Church

This podcast was the best reminder of meditating on the testimony of God in our lives. Bill tells story after story of people getting healed after just hearing testimonies of other people with similar conditions getting healed. It was outrageous and a reminder to never get complacent about the power of testimonies and feasting our minds and hearts on all the things God has done for and in us.

  • 2. Gold Nugget of advice.

Neil Anderson is a New York Times bestselling author who is all about living intentionally. In his new book he states three things that he advises everyone should write down the answers to every single day.

  1. What am I going to let go of?
  2. What am I grateful for?
  3. What am I going to focus on?

Asking oneself these three things allows us to make a daily habit intentionally forgive ourselves and others things done or said the day before that we regret. It reminds us to be grateful for what we are given, and re-focus our mind on the most important task for the day. I loved this simple bit of advice and am going to try and incorporate it into my life. He recommends writing it down as a daily habit the answers to those questions.

  • 3. Recipe

Sweet Potatoes with Tahini Butter

My husband loves Potatoes. Seriously. I find them rather bland and boring. This recipe however is exactly the opposite… Outrageous flavours. I love sesame oil, but you might not. If you are not as obsessed with sesame oil use half the amount. Please try and comment when you do make this, (super easy as well). I am not putting any other recipes up so you HAVE to try it.

  • 4. Favourite Video

A female soccer player’s hijab fell off while she was playing and her opposite teammates gathered around her like a shield protecting her while she knelt and furiously fixed it back on. Makes me teary watching this. Watch Here.

Two Readers comments

On your favourite qualities in a partner or friend:

Melissa says

“I love kindness! Those moments of sensitivity and compassion. Like knowing I am seen in that moment and it is okay to be where I am at. Very valuable moments that help me relax a little bit.”

Naomi, on something kind and heart-warming someone has done for you recently:

“A dear woman Maria Pedruco made me Portugese tarts from scratch for my birthday. It takes her four hours to make these from scratch and they are DIVINE. She blessed me today.”

Ahhhh I love this. A beautiful friend at work made me some recently and they truly are heaven in food form.

That’s all from me this week

You are DEEPLY loved and richly cherished.

May we all live intentionally with gratitude and thanksgiving this week
