My Highlights – A Podcast, restaurant, 2 quotes and a reader’s comment

Own Your Health – Changing the way you Think, Eat and Live.

Beloved ones! What are you up to this weekend? I am working a little on Saturday, studying a little, and then playing and resting a lot with my man.

Here are some highlights from my week:

  • 1 – Podcast

Jeff Henderson – Build Your Business By Taking a Stand.

This was the Best Podcast I have listened to in a LONG time. Seriously. Jeff Henderson is an incredible man. He is a Pastor in one for one of the biggest Church organisations in America. Prior to that, he was a key part of the marketing team for Chick-fil-A, a business that grosses up to 10 Billion a year. He gives the most incredible insight into what Churches and businesses can learn from each other. As someone who is passionate about the business and corporate world and also passionate about the Church the was music to my ears and I want everyone to listen! It is relevant if you are in the Church or Not for-profit world, and it’s for you if you are in the business world. It is especially for you if you are passionate about both.

  • 2 – Inspiring Restaurant

These guys featured in the Sunday Mail this week as one of Brisbane’s Top, creative restaurants for 2019. It is run by a husband and wife team Sarah and Tim Scott who opened in 2019.  They sit only 10 people each night and host them personally in their tiny restaurant. Everyone sits side by side at one big table. Strangers and Friends. They serve a set menu which they decide on that morning depending on produce and inspiration. Their motto is to show their love and passion for genuine hospitality. It is so glorious and creative. I immediately jumped onto their website and they are booked out till April! I LOVE seeing creative innovative ideas take off. Go Tim and Sarah!

  • 3 – Quotes

“No is a complete sentence.” Anne Lamott

“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.” Mae Jemison.

PadMan is on the list for the weekend to watch. And I can’t stop thinking about how delicious Mars Bar Slice would be. I found this recipe with Five ingredients! (In light of my recent sugar post, let’s be clear, this would be a treat day).

P.S did you get last week’s highlights?
