We are absolutely swamped with a bombardment of medical information. It is hard to know who to trust.
Even as a doctor who spends the majority of her time working and studying in the health space, I too find it overwhelming and hard to sift through the noise.

Dr Mark Hyman is a practicing family physician and internationally recognized leader, speaker and advocate in functional medicine. He is the head of strategy and innovation of the Cleveland Clinic for functional medicine, he is a 12 time, New York Times best-selling author, he is the founder and director of the Ultra Wellness Centre, and host of a leading podcast that I love, The Doctor’s farmacy. He is regularly on TV shows including CBS This Morning, Today, Good Morning America, The View and CNN.
Mark Hyman is without a doubt my virtual mentor and inspiration. I have read front to back many of his books. His concepts, his approach and his life was a big part of what inspired me to get back into medicine again. I would highly recommend you check him out. Listen to his podcast. Read his books, and do his 10 day reset. I am sure he will also become your trusted medical voice as well.
Here is a woman revolutionising the world of health and neuropsychology. She is a pioneer in demonstrating how the brain can change which is known as neuroplasticity. Through her research and years in clinical practice, she developed her theory called the Geodesic Information Processing theory. This is about how we think, build memory and learn into tools and processes that have transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals. She has seen the likes of ADD, ADHD, autism, dementia, mental ill-health issues like anxiety and depression be completely healed by teaching students and adults how to learn to use their mind to detox and grow their brain to succeed in every area.
Her books, ‘Switch on your Brain’, ‘Think, learn to succeed’, ‘Think and Eat Yourself Smart’ are among a couple of her best selling incredible books. She teaches physicians everywhere on the mind-brain-body connection.
I highly endorse this woman. I have found her concepts personally life-changing. I listen to her podcasts, read her books and refer patient’s to her all the time.

Changing the way You Think, Eat and Live.
Wink: Does anyone go to the gym? I have just started lifting weights (as in 2 kg weights and I bench press the bar with no weight on it). No One Makes eye contact. Ever! It’s so weird. It’s like an unspoken rule to not look at anyone in the eyes. Or smile. It is like being in a lift! Nobody wants to chat or converse. My small attempts at conversation are met with one word answers and a look that says “please leave me alone small brown girl with 2kg dumbells. I am busy trying to bench press 120kg and simultaneously groan so loudly that it sounds like I am dying of a bad form of corono virus.”
